Why Should I Leave Feedback On TPT?

Have you ever wondered why so many Teachers Pay Teachers products and teacher Facebook posts say something like "please leave feedback" or "feedback greatly appreciated"? I used to wonder, too. But then I became a frequent TPT shopper... and a seller... and now I know why it's so important.

Read on if you're curious.

Free Products
Did you know that every time you leave feedback on an item you purchase from TPT, you earn credits which can then be used to score FREE PRODUCTS?!?!? {If you didn't already know that, then congratulations! Today is your lucky day.}

Here's how it works:

You get 1 TPT credit for every dollar you spend. (And they even round it up for you!) So, for example, if you spend $19.75, you'll get 20 TPT credits. {Note: 20 credits = $1}. So in this scenario, you spent about $20 and now you've earned $1 to spend on any product you find on TPT. Score!

I used to think "well, yah, but I only spent $3.00... that's not much of a credit at all." But here's the deal... every little credit adds up. You might only get 3 credits here and 5 credits there. But think about it this way: if you save them up, little by little, then when a TPT sale comes along, you could score all kinds of awesome products FOR FREE!! (I'm just sayin'!)

You might be thinking, "sounds good... but what's the catch?" Excellent question! The catch, you see, is that you must leave feedback on each item you've purchased in order to receive credit for that item. Which really, when you think about it, that's not really much of a "catch" at all. Click a few buttons, type a short comment and bah-dah-boom. TPT credits in your account, waiting to be spent!

Evaluation Of Work
For those of us creating digital documents and graphics, it's nice to know the endless hours of hard work wasn't in vain. Here's how you can help us to become better designers that will, in turn, create better products for you:
  • If you like something we've created, TELL US!!!! It'll make our day. Honestly, it can be a bit discouraging to sell several copies of something, something you've invested a lot of time and energy in, without any comments being left. (Did they like my product? Did they hate it? Is anyone actually using it in their classroom? Are we still friends?) Just some of the questions you're leaving us to ask ourselves when you don't leave feedback. *tear*
  • If you notice a typo, please be kind and let us know. Chances are we've been balancing a hundred few other things while trying to create this product. Occasional typos are going to happen. We are human, after all. But we're also really cool people (if I do say so myself!) so we're super happy to fix any mistakes we've made! Just send us a quick email (if we've listed it in our store's profile), reach out through Facebook or send a "q & a" through our TPT page.
  • If you have suggestions for future products and/or would like to see something in the same theme/color scheme/style as a product you just purchased from us, let us know. We love suggestions! Sometimes the creative juices stop flowing. They just.... stop! Your suggestion might just be the little creative spark we need to get going again.
  • Be fair with your feedback. We understand that our products aren't going to make everyone happy. We do our best to include as many preview photos as possible so you know exactly what you're getting. If you have a problem with something you purchase from us, reach out and allow us the opportunity to at least try and make the situation better. Some of us are brand new at this, figuring things out as we go. Some of us are veterans. But we're all human. We all try. We all Most of us take a lot of pride in our work. But please be considerate of the fact that we have feelings too! Like Momma says... "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." Well.... except that we want you to say something. Just be kind when you say it. A simple "thank you" or "This is a great product. My only suggestion would be ______" or something friendly like that.
  • We appreciate that you're spending your hard earned dollars on our products (aww... you're so sweet!) and are so grateful to have your business.
So to recap... be sure to leave feedback for EVERY item you purchase. You'll help the sellers improve and you'll bank up some FREE TPT spending money in the process! And even though it doesn't earn you any spending money, still leave feedback for the freebies you download, too! Why? Because you're super AWESOME like that! ;-)

Keeping My {Blog} Organized

If you've been in the blogging world for more than a day, then you totally understand how challenging it can be to keep everything organized. So many passwords to remember, blog posts to schedule, giveaways to participate in, giveaways to plan, stats to track... OY VEY!

Determined to find a way to keep myself organized, I searched and searched and eventually stumbled across this fantastic organizer from Schroeder Shenanigans in 2nd. Oh-Em-Gee, y'all. This is incredible!!

BLOG POST, GIVEAWAY, and LINKY PARTY Organizer and Planner!

I printed it out and organized the pages into the sections I needed. There were some extra pages that don't really apply to me just yet so I tucked those in the back pocket for safe keeping until I'm ready them.

As I was planning out a blog post today, I got the {brilliant} idea to line my pages with washi tape. Why? Because washi tape is adorable and (usually) re-positionable so I can change my mind whenever I want to without ruining what I'm working on. And it also doubles as colorful dividers of sorts.

See how cute these pages look?!  I mean... see how {organized} these pages look?!

I added some lined paper to the back for any random un-organized thoughts... and a "week at a glance" calendar to the front. I love the organized pages, but sometimes I just need to see it all up front.

Then I whipped up a cover and... TA-DA!! All my blog/giveaway/linky party stuff in one place!

So head on over and grab this fantastic organizer. You'll be so glad you did. I sure am! :-)
