We Have FIVE Senses!

This week, we have been busy learning about our 5 senses. We practice them during our morning meeting and have been doing activities each day to reinforce what we've learned.

My favorite was the taste-testing. Each kiddo got to try something salty (pretzels), something sweet (marshmallows), something sour (lemon) and something spicy (hot tamales candy). Their reactions were priceless!

We also went outside to practice our sense of sight. We drew pictures of everything we could see from the playground. I didn't get any pictures of their artwork but it was super adorable. They actually drew lots of details.

I also didn't get pictures of the rest of our activities. Our touch experiment was super fun.I had 4 bags with objects in them, turned the lights off and each kiddo reached in. They tried to guess what each thing was and then drew a picture of it on their recording sheet.

For smell, we had to smell different "mystery bags" and guess what was inside. For hearing, I played a bunch of sound clips and they tried to guess what the sounds were. (It was a lot harder than they thought it was gonna be.)

This has seriously been one of my favorite weeks ever. Learning about our 5 senses has been a blast! :-)
