Wishlist Linky... And A FREEBIE!

How many of you have a wishlist a mile long?! If you're anything like me, it's so long you tend to forget what all is on it. That's why I'm excited about this linky. Here's 3 awesome opportunities to cross something off your wishlist and add it to your "things I own" list!

(Click on any of the images to see the referenced items in my store.)

My most wishlisted item is also my most sold item... it's my vowel teams bundle. Each "vowel team" is separated and there are cards, recording sheets, activities to do with each set. Great for small group/intervention practice, early finishers, or one-on-one enrichment.

My second most wishlisted item is actually a FREEBIE! Grab it now... or later. It's a forever freebie.

My third most wishlisted item is one of my favorites. It's my "building blocks" classroom theme... packed full of printables to decorate your LEGO (aka "building blocks") themed classroom.

Just as a reminder, Monday and Tuesday are the TPT "Cyber Monday" sale. It's a great opportunity to clear out your wish list and purchase items at a discount. Happy shopping!

A Giveaway, Resources I Love, and a FREEBIE!!

I'm in Arizona and after a hotter-than-usual "fall" so far, we're finally seeing some cooler weather. That, combined with it being the Christmas season, has me all kinds of excited! So I'm thrilled to be participating in this Cyber Monday blog hop and giveaway... just in time for the TPT Cyber Monday sale!!

My big thing right now is spreading kindness. Our class "Elf on the Shelf" is all about spreading kindness this year. Honestly, with all the craziness going on in the world right now, we could all use a little extra kindness in our lives. So this print-and-go bulletin board set is on sale right now with the TPT Cyber Monday sale. Simply print, cut and adhere to your bulletin board... then you have a super cute board spreading the message of kindness.

Another goodie I want to tell you about is my Kindergarten Growing Bundle. It's on sale right now and already packed full of centers and other small group activities. I've been adding to it as I create things for my own room so it is, quite literally, a growing bundle.

Such a BRIGHT idea!

Have you seen the finger lights at Dollar Tree? They have become one of my FAVORITE tools for small groups and centers. The kids love 'em too. They're always asking when we can use our finger lights.
I use them mostly for reading centers but also for tracing letters, shapes, numbers, words, etc. They come with a strap around the back so they stay on the kiddos finger like a ring. To be honest, they are kind of hit or miss... in a pack of 4, there's usually 1 that doesn't work. So I always buy more than I think I need. Any leftovers end up in my "Treasure Box".

They're 4/$1 at Dollar Tree but I found them in bulk on Amazon... they're a little bit cheaper. Check them out here

If you haven't used them already, you need them. Trust me. They are a real game changer!

ABC Countdown

Finishing up the school year with an ABC Countdown was so much fun. It gave the kids (and myself) something fun to look forward to each of our last days together. Even the parents got excited, too!

I've seen some teachers start with A and end with Z, and vise versa. It was my first time doing it so I wasn't really sure which was better, so I started with A. As it worked out, our last day was "ZIP and ZOOM into summer".

I threw everything together rather quick. It was a last minute "a-ha!" moment for me. I started with a calendar, which I sent to my parents on Dojo and in a flyer.

The rest is pretty much self-explanatory. Below are a few pictures of the days. I started out with beautiful photo collages of each day... and then as they days became more and more hectic, the pictures were fewer and farther between.

All in all, it was a lot of work, but a lot of fun! I just kept reminding myself that this was their first year in school and it should finish on a totally positive note. So even when I was tapped out and didn't want to plan an activity, I didn't give up. Every kiddo should have a fabulous year in Kindergarten! Plus, to be honest, keeping busy with this kept me from getting to emotional about my babes growing up and moving on.

Did you do an ABC Countdown? Will you be doing it this year? I'd love to hear about your experience with it.

Taste The Rainbow!

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and I'm getting stuff ready for our official kindergarten Leprechaun hunt. This will be my first time doing it, but I'm crazy excited! I'll be sure to write all about it when it's done... but until then, here's a little freebie I'm sharing just with you! I made these bag toppers to go on top of bags of skittles. You know... in case a naughty Leprechaun wants to leave a little treat behind! *wink*

What, if anything, do you do to celebrate St. Patty's Day in your room??

Seuss Week Shenanigans!

Dr. Seuss week is one of my favorite weeks of the year... we celebrate a fabulous author in very non-traditional ways. The sillier, the better! Here's how we did it in Kindergarten Enrichment...

Monday was "1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" day. We read the book, ate colored goldfish (after counting and graphing them) and dressed in primary colors. I even made some Seuss-y shoes to wear all week!

Tuesday was "Cat In The Hat" day. We read the book, dressed in red/white, ate fancy cheesesticks, did a directed drawing, made hand puppets and practiced rhyming.

Wednesday was "Happy Birthday To You" day... we partied and celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday! We dressed up fancy, ate cupcakes, read the book and sang "happy birthday" to our favorite author.

Thursday was "Green Eggs and Ham" day. We read the book, made-then-ate green eggs and ham, made predictions about whether or not we'd like it and then wrote out our conclusion, practiced rhyming and wore green. For the record, all but 2 kiddos LOVED the green eggs & ham... out of all 3 kindergarten classes at our school. I was surprised!

Friday was "The Lorax" day. We wore our jammies, read the book, watched the movie and munched on goodies. I didn't get any pictures... I guess we were too relaxed! Haha. But it was a lot of fun! :-)

And finally, our school had done a door decorating contest to go with the reading theme. This is what I came up with.

Hope Dr. Seuss enjoyed watching us celebrate his awesomness! ;-) I would love to hear how YOU celebrated in your class.
